Cullman Fire Rescue, led by Fire Chief Darren Peeples, serves our community with professionalism, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement. Our department has built a strong tradition of excellence, and our firefighters take great pride in protecting and supporting the people of Cullman. We believe we are more than a fire department. We are a dedicated part of this community.
Our Firefighter/EMTs operate three stations and provide 24/7 all-hazards response. Each year, our teams handle more than 5,000 incidents, including structure and vehicle fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials calls, technical rescues, and mutual aid responses. This level of service requires extensive ongoing training and certifications in advanced life support (ALS), fire suppression, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials response, and technical rescue operations.
Cullman Fire Rescue is an active member of the Alabama Mutual Aid System Division F Response Team (Alabama Task Force 3), providing critical support to neighboring agencies when needed.
Fire prevention is a core component of our mission. Our team conducts fire code inspections, performs fire investigations, and offers public education programs throughout the community. These include school-based fire safety instruction, fire extinguisher training, and CPR/AED classes designed to empower residents with life-saving skills.
We are committed to meeting the needs of everyone who lives, works, or spends time in the City of Cullman by serving with skill, compassion, and dedication.
