Dear Evansville Neighbors,
We have added a free public tool called Community Connect, and I want to explain what it is and why it's worth five minutes of your time.
Community Connect lets you share information about your home directly with us, before an emergency happens, so our crews have it in hand the moment they're dispatched to your address. You can tell us who lives in the home and how to reach you, whether anyone has a medical condition, mobility limitation, or other need that would affect how we respond, and whether you have pets so we know to look for them.
Business owners can do the same for their buildings, including access points, key box locations, utility shut-offs, and any hazardous materials on site.
None of this replaces calling 911. It supplements it. When seconds matter, a responding crew that already knows a resident uses a wheelchair, that there's a dog in the backyard, or which door to force can make a real difference in how quickly and safely we help.
Signing up is free, voluntary, and takes about five minutes using your phone number or email address. You control what you share, and you can update or remove your information at any time.
