Welcome to Shawnee Township. As the Fire Chief, I would like to extend a warm welcome and introduce you to our Fire Department. We are dedicated to serving our rapidly expanding community at the highest level.
Shawnee Township Fire Department comprises twenty-three uniformed Firefighter/Paramedics, committed to protecting life, property, and the environment. Our members are certified in many different rescue disciplines, including Rope Rescue, Confined Space, Hazardous Materials, Water Rescue, Automobile Extrication, Trench Rescue, and Structural collapse.
Our department takes an active role in preventing tragedy through education. Our Fire Prevention Bureau works tirelessly through its involvement in fire safety education, plan review, code enforcement, and community service.
Shawnee Township has a long history of community involvement, which includes teaching our youngest residents about fire safety, distributing and installing smoke detectors, conducting fire extinguisher training, participating in fall risk reduction exercises for our at-risk population, and teaching CPR to our citizens. Our membership is continually striving to improve public service and remain active in community involvement.
The members of the Shawnee Township Fire Department are proud of its rich history and tradition of excellence. As we move forward with the department, our goal is to continue strengthening our partnership with the community as we provide the highest quality of service and safety to those we serve.
