At Yakima County Fire District 5, the safety of our community is our highest priority. We are always looking for ways to better serve our residents and ensure our firefighters and emergency responders have the information they need when seconds truly matter.
For this reason, we are proud to introduce Community Connect, a new, voluntary program designed to enhance emergency response and help us better protect you, your loved ones, and your property.
Community Connect is a free, secure, and easy-to-use platform that allows residents to share important information about their household directly with emergency responders. This may include details such as special medical or mobility needs, pets in the home, or access considerations. Having this information available before an emergency occurs allows our crews to respond more quickly, safely, and effectively.
Participation in Community Connect is completely optional, and all information provided is securely stored and used solely to assist first responders during emergencies. The goal is simple: to help our firefighters make informed decisions and deliver the highest level of care when you need us most.
I encourage all residents to consider signing up for Community Connect and taking a few minutes to create a household or business profile. By doing so, you are helping us help you—before an emergency ever happens.
